REALIZE THAT ONLY Jesus Christ, the sinless Son of God, is your
means to God.
God’s Word tells us
that Jesus Christ, God’s only Son, died on the cross in our
place.
Jesus, the
only sinless Man ever born, took our sin upon Himself, and
nailed that sin to the cross with Him, so that we might be
sinless.
Because He
was, Himself, sinless, Jesus rose from the dead
three days later, conquering death also, so that we, too, might
have the right (with our sin destroyed by Jesus) to rise again
to eternal life.
Our eternal life was therefore bought and paid for by
Jesus Christ (God Himself).
No further work need be done (nor can be done) to earn
our salvation; it was purchased by Jesus Christ Himself! !
16 For God so loved the world, that
He gave His only begotten Son,
that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have
everlasting life.
17 For God sent not
His Son into the world to condemn the world;
but that the world through Him might be saved. 18 He that believeth on Him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the Name of the only begotten Son of God.
