AS GOD IS pure holiness, the basis of relationship with God is complete repentance from our sin. NO relationship with God can be begun while a person willfully and delightedly continues in sin. |

Recognize that you are a sinner; you are separated from God by your sinful NATURE, which you cannot
change, and for that reason you cannot earn your salvation by
good works.
God’s Word tells us that EVERYONE is a sinner.
The Bible tells us that
it is our SINFUL HEART that has separated us from God, from
birth.
For this reason, even if we were somehow able to change
all our ACTIONS, so that we never again sinned outwardly, we
would still be separated from God by our sinful NATURE, which we
cannot change. |

16 Destruction and misery are in
their ways:
