THE WAY to Salvation

REPENT OF YOUR Sins and ask God to forgive you of all sin you have committed, and to purify your sinful heart

Repentance is hating the sin we have committed, and making the commitment that, through the power of God, we will stop committing those sins.  We ask God to help us hate the sins, and to help us stop committing the sins, because we can do neither on our own.  And we do our part by making the decision.

19 Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the Lord.

Acts 3:19

8 Draw nigh to God, and He will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded.
9 Be afflicted, and mourn, and weep: let your laughter be turned to mourning, and your joy to heaviness.
10 Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He shall lift you up.

James 4: 8-10

10 For godly sorrow produces repentance leading to salvation, a repentance not to be regretted; but the sorrow of the world finally produces death.

II Cor. 7: 10
