'So that you might know that ye are saved!'
 _______________

OD HAS promised salvation to all who repent and call upon the Name of Jesus.

God has PROMISED us that, if we repent of our sins and trust in Jesus as our Savior, we WILL be saved!

31 And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.

Acts 16:31

That is a promise of God, Himself!

2 In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began;

Titus 1:2

And the, "hope," of which God speaks here, is translated, in the New Testament, as, "sure confidence." God is no liar.  He has promised; we must believe!  Salvation is not, "felt;" it is, "believed!"

6 But without faith it is impossible to please Him: for he that cometh to God must believe that He Is, and that He Is a Rewarder of them that diligently seek Him.

Heb. 11:6

Faith is both a decision, and a gift from God.  If we lack faith we can receive it from God, Who gives it freely.  It is important to remember that, except for our determination to live for God, it is not US who establishes nor maintains our salvation; it is God!  Just as it was God Who provided our salvation for us in the first place, so also it is God Who MAINTAINS our salvation!

2 This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?
3 Are ye so foolish? having begun in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh?

Gal. 3:2,3

6 Being confident of this very thing, that He which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:

Phil. 1:6

That you might KNOW that you have eternal life

2 And hereby we do know that we know Him, if we keep His commandments.

I John 2:3

17 But whoso hath this world's good, and seeth his brother have need, and shutteth up his bowels of compassion from him, how dwelleth the love of God in him?

18 My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.

19 And hereby we know that we are of the truth, and shall assure our hearts before Him.

20 For if our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart, and knoweth all things.

21 Beloved, if our heart condemn us not, then have we confidence toward God.

22 And whatsoever we ask, we receive of Him, because we keep His commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in His sight.

23 And this is his commandment, That we should believe on the name of His Son Jesus Christ, and love one another, as He gave us commandment.

24 And he that keepeth His commandments dwelleth in Him, and He in him. And hereby we know that He abideth in us, by the Spirit which He hath given us.

I John 3:17-24

13 Hereby know we that we dwell in Him, and He in us, because He hath given us of His Spirit.

14 And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world.

15 Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God.

16 And we have known and believed the love that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him.

I John 4:13, 16

10 He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hath made him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of His Son.

11 And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in His Son.

12 He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.

13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.

14 And this is the confidence that we have in Him, that, if we ask any thing according to His will, He heareth us:

15 And if we know that He hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of Him.

I John 5:10-15

Eternal Security

12 For the which cause I also suffer these things: nevertheless I am not ashamed: for I know Whom I have believed, and am persuaded that He is able to keep that which I have committed unto Him against that day.

II Tim. 1:12

28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of My hand.

29 My Father, which gave them Me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of My Father's hand.

John 10:28, 29
